  Number 248

JAN DE YOUNG, ADMINISTRATOR, ALASKA LABOR RELATIONS AGENCY,
outlined for the committee the reason for the bill. Ms. De
Young explained that the board consists of three members
meeting approximately 40 times a year with no compensation.
The bill will expand the board to six members and provide
for a $100 stipend per meeting.

  Number 332

REP. SITTON observed that the $100 would be taxable income.

  Number 377

  Number 382

BRUCE LUDWIG, ALASKA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, testified

  some cases.

  Number 392

WILLIE ANDERSON, NATIONAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION, echoed Mr.

  also overworked.
